East African Community
The East African Community (EAC) is a regional intergovernmental organization comprising six member states: Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and South Sudan. Established in 2000, the EAC aims to promote economic integration, political cooperation, and social development among its members.
The EAC focuses on various sectors, including trade, infrastructure, and environmental sustainability. It facilitates the movement of goods and people across borders, enhancing regional trade and investment. The community also works on joint projects, such as the East African Railways and Lake Victoria Basin Commission, to improve connectivity and resource management.
