Dzungar
The term "Dzungar" refers to a historical group of Mongolic people who lived in the Dzungaria region, located in present-day northwestern China. They were known for their nomadic lifestyle, herding livestock such as sheep and horses, and their interactions with neighboring cultures, including the Qing Dynasty of China.
The Dzungars played a significant role in Central Asian history during the 17th and 18th centuries. They established the Dzungar Khanate, which was a powerful state that controlled trade routes and engaged in conflicts with other groups, including the Tibetan and Mongolian peoples. Their influence waned after military defeats by the Qing forces.
