Oirat
The Oirat are a group of Mongolic peoples primarily found in western Mongolia, as well as parts of China and Russia. They are known for their unique dialects, culture, and traditions, which distinguish them from other Mongolian groups. Historically, the Oirat played a significant role in the formation of the Dzungar Khanate in the 17th century.
The Oirat people traditionally practiced nomadic herding, relying on livestock such as sheep, goats, and horses for their livelihood. Their rich cultural heritage includes distinctive music, dance, and art forms, as well as a strong emphasis on oral storytelling. The Oirat script, derived from the Uyghur script, is used to write their language.
