The Dynastic Cycle is a historical pattern observed in many ancient civilizations, particularly in China. It describes the rise and fall of ruling families or dynasties. Typically, a new dynasty emerges, claiming the "Mandate of Heaven," which grants them the right to rule. This period is marked by prosperity, stability, and effective governance.
Over time, however, dynasties may become corrupt or ineffective, leading to social unrest, natural disasters, or economic decline. Eventually, this loss of legitimacy results in rebellion or invasion, causing the dynasty to fall. A new dynasty then rises, restarting the cycle.
