Duke Eugen of Leuchtenberg
Duke Eugen of Leuchtenberg was a German nobleman born on September 14, 1820. He was the son of Prince Maximilian of Leuchtenberg and Princess Maria Nikolaevna of Russia. Eugen became the Duke of Leuchtenberg in 1852 and was known for his contributions to the arts and culture in his region.
Eugen married Princess Therese of Saxe-Altenburg in 1846, and they had several children. Throughout his life, he was involved in various charitable activities and supported educational initiatives. He passed away on March 21, 1875, leaving a legacy of cultural enrichment in his duchy.
