Eugen of Leuchtenberg
Eugen of Leuchtenberg was a notable figure in the early 19th century, born on September 3, 1784, in Munich, Bavaria. He was the son of King Maximilian I Joseph of Bavaria and Princess Augusta of Hohenzollern. Eugen served as a military leader and played a significant role in the Napoleonic Wars, particularly in the campaigns against Napoleon Bonaparte.
In 1817, he became the Duke of Leuchtenberg and later married Princess Maria of Bavaria. His lineage included connections to various European royal families, enhancing his status. Eugen passed away on February 21, 1852, in St. Petersburg, Russia.
