Duke Christian of Saxe-Merseburg was a German nobleman born on March 24, 1682. He belonged to the House of Wettin and ruled the duchy of Saxe-Merseburg from 1731 until his death in 1736. His reign was marked by efforts to improve the economy and infrastructure of his duchy.
