Dukan Diet
The Dukan Diet is a high-protein, low-carbohydrate weight loss plan created by French physician Pierre Dukan. It consists of four phases: Attack, Cruise, Consolidation, and Stabilization. The diet emphasizes lean proteins and encourages the consumption of specific foods while gradually reintroducing carbohydrates in later phases.
During the initial Attack phase, followers eat only protein-rich foods, such as meat, fish, and dairy. The subsequent Cruise phase allows for the addition of non-starchy vegetables. The diet aims to promote quick weight loss and long-term maintenance, but it has faced criticism for its restrictive nature and potential health risks.
