Duchess Maria Antonia of Savoy was born on November 17, 1684, in Turin, Italy. She was a member of the House of Savoy and the daughter of Victor Amadeus II of Savoy and Anne Marie d'Orléans. Maria Antonia became the Duchess of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg through her marriage to Friedrich II, Duke of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg in 1706.
Throughout her life, Maria Antonia was known for her cultural contributions and her role in the political alliances of her time. She had several children, strengthening ties between the Savoy and Saxe families. Maria Antonia passed away on July 24, 1737, in Gotha, Germany.
