Draža Mihailović
Draža Mihailović was a Serbian general during World War II, known for leading the Chetnik movement, which aimed to resist Axis occupation in Yugoslavia. He was a controversial figure, as his forces were involved in both fighting against the Nazis and engaging in conflicts with rival groups, including the Partisans led by Josip Broz Tito.
After the war, Mihailović was captured by the communist government and tried for war crimes. In 1946, he was executed, and his legacy remains debated in Serbia and beyond, with some viewing him as a national hero and others as a collaborator.
