Dr. Cyrus Teed
Dr. Cyrus Teed was an American physician and the founder of the religious movement known as Koreshanity. Born in 1839, he proposed a unique cosmological theory that suggested the Earth is hollow and that humans live on the inner surface. Teed believed that this understanding could lead to spiritual enlightenment and a better society.
In 1869, Teed changed his name to Koresh, claiming to be a messianic figure. He established a community in Estero, Florida, where followers practiced his teachings. Teed's ideas, though unconventional, attracted a dedicated group of followers during his lifetime, and his legacy continues to be studied in alternative religious movements.
