Koreshan Unity
Koreshan Unity was a religious movement founded in the late 19th century by Cyrus Teed, who claimed to be the Messiah. The group believed in a unique cosmology that proposed the Earth is hollow and that humanity resides on the inside surface. They emphasized communal living, spiritual development, and the importance of celibacy.
The movement established a community in Estero, Florida, where members built homes, a bakery, and a school. Although the group declined after Teed's death in 1908, their legacy continues through the preservation of their site, now known as the Koreshan State Park.
