Domestic Terrorist
A domestic terrorist is an individual or group that commits violent acts within their own country to achieve political, ideological, or social goals. These actions are often aimed at instilling fear, disrupting society, or influencing government policies. Domestic terrorism can take many forms, including bombings, shootings, or other violent acts against civilians or government institutions.
In the United States, domestic terrorism is defined by the FBI as acts that are carried out by individuals or groups based on their political beliefs, often targeting specific communities or groups. This type of terrorism is distinct from international terrorism, which involves actors from outside the country.
