Eco-Terrorism
Eco-terrorism refers to the use of violence or sabotage to protect the environment or promote ecological causes. This can include actions like damaging property or disrupting operations of companies that are perceived to harm nature. Eco-terrorists believe that such extreme measures are necessary to draw attention to environmental issues and to stop practices they view as harmful.
Groups associated with eco-terrorism often target industries like logging, mining, and animal testing. Notable organizations, such as the Earth Liberation Front (ELF), have been linked to various acts of eco-terrorism. While supporters argue these actions are justified, critics contend they undermine legitimate environmental efforts.
