Dja Dja Wurrung
The Dja Dja Wurrung people are an Indigenous Australian group from central Victoria. They are part of the larger Kulin Nation and have a rich cultural heritage that includes traditional practices, languages, and connection to the land. Their territory encompasses areas around Bendigo and Castlemaine, where they have lived for thousands of years.
Today, the Dja Dja Wurrung community works to preserve their culture and language while engaging in land management and conservation efforts. They have established the Dja Dja Wurrung Clans Aboriginal Corporation to represent their interests and promote their cultural identity in contemporary society.
