Desideria of Sweden
Desideria of Sweden, born Desideria de la Torre y de la Vega in 1800, was a Spanish noblewoman who became the Queen of Sweden through her marriage to King Charles XIV John of Sweden. She was the first queen consort of the modern Swedish monarchy and played a significant role in the royal court during her husband's reign from 1818 to 1844.
Desideria was known for her strong personality and dedication to her family. She had a close relationship with her husband and supported his efforts to establish the Bernadotte dynasty in Sweden. Desideria passed away in 1860, leaving a lasting legacy in Swedish history.
