Czechoslovak People's Army
The Czechoslovak People's Army was the military force of Czechoslovakia from 1945 until the country's peaceful split in 1993. It was established after World War II to defend the nation and support the socialist government. The army played a significant role in the Cold War era, aligning with the Warsaw Pact and the Soviet Union.
The army underwent various reforms and modernization efforts throughout its existence. It included ground forces, air forces, and support units, contributing to national defense and international missions. After the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, the army was divided into the Czech Army and the Slovak Armed Forces.
