Czechoslovak Legion
The Czechoslovak Legion was a military force composed of Czechoslovak volunteers during World War I. Formed primarily from Czechs and Slovaks living abroad, the Legion fought alongside the Allies, seeking to gain support for the independence of Czechoslovakia from the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
After the war, the Legion played a crucial role in the establishment of Czechoslovakia in 1918. They participated in various battles on the Eastern Front and later fought in the Russian Civil War, helping to secure a path for Czechoslovak troops to return home.
