Cytisus
Cytisus is a genus of flowering plants in the legume family, known for their bright yellow, white, or pink flowers. These shrubs are commonly found in Europe and parts of Asia, thriving in well-drained soils and sunny locations. They are often used in gardens for ornamental purposes due to their attractive blooms and ability to attract pollinators.
Many species of Cytisus are also valued for their ecological benefits, such as improving soil quality through nitrogen fixation. Some species, like Cytisus scoparius, are known as broom and have been used traditionally for making brooms and in herbal medicine.
