Cuban Wars
The term "Cuban Wars" generally refers to a series of conflicts in Cuba, primarily the Ten Years' War (1868-1878) and the Cuban War of Independence (1895-1898). The first war aimed to end Spanish colonial rule and was marked by guerrilla warfare. Although it ended in a stalemate, it set the stage for future uprisings.
The Spanish-American War in 1898 was a significant outcome of the second conflict, leading to the U.S. intervention in Cuba. This war resulted in the defeat of Spain and the establishment of a short-lived American military government, ultimately paving the way for Cuba's independence.
