Louis VI of France
Louis VI of France, also known as Louis the Fat, reigned from 1108 to 1137. He was the first king of the Capetian dynasty to effectively consolidate royal power in France. His reign marked the beginning of a stronger centralized monarchy, as he worked to reduce the influence of rebellious nobles and expand royal authority.
During his rule, Louis VI focused on strengthening the kingdom's borders and improving the administration of justice. He was known for his efforts to protect the common people and promote trade. His reign laid the groundwork for future kings, including his son, Louis VII of France.
