Common Frogs
The Common Frog, scientifically known as *Rana temporaria*, is a widespread amphibian found across Europe and parts of Asia. It typically has a smooth, green or brown skin with dark spots, allowing it to blend into its environment. Common Frogs are often seen in gardens, ponds, and woodlands, especially during the breeding season in spring.
These frogs are known for their distinctive croaking sounds, which males use to attract females. They primarily feed on insects and other small invertebrates. Common Frogs play an essential role in their ecosystems, helping to control insect populations and serving as prey for various predators.
