Coffee Farming
Coffee farming involves the cultivation of the coffee plant, primarily the Arabica and Robusta species. Farmers grow these plants in tropical regions, where the climate is warm and humid. The process begins with planting seeds, which grow into coffee trees that take about three to four years to produce cherries.
Once the cherries are ripe, they are harvested, usually by hand. The cherries are then processed to extract the coffee beans, which are dried, roasted, and ground before being brewed into the beverage enjoyed worldwide. Sustainable practices are increasingly important in coffee farming to protect the environment and support local communities.
