Coconut Farming
Coconut farming involves the cultivation of the coconut palm, which thrives in tropical climates. Farmers typically plant coconut trees in sandy, well-drained soil, where they can receive plenty of sunlight and water. The trees take about six to ten years to start producing coconuts, and they can continue to bear fruit for up to 80 years.
Harvesting coconuts is done by climbing the trees or using specialized equipment. The coconuts can be processed for various products, including coconut oil, coconut water, and copra (dried coconut meat). Coconut farming is an important agricultural practice in many countries, providing income and employment for local communities.
