Clutter family murders
The Clutter family murders occurred on November 15, 1959, in Holcomb, Kansas. The victims were Herb Clutter, his wife Bonnie, and their two teenage children, Nancy and Kenyon. They were brutally killed by two men, Richard "Dick" Hickock and Perry Smith, who sought to rob the family but found no money.
The case gained national attention and was later chronicled in Truman Capote's book, In Cold Blood. Hickock and Smith were apprehended, tried, and ultimately executed for their crimes in 1965, marking a significant moment in American criminal history.
