Richard "Dick" Hickock
Richard "Dick" Hickock was an American criminal known for his involvement in the infamous Clutter family murders in 1959. Along with his accomplice, Perry Smith, Hickock was convicted of killing four members of the Clutter family in Holcomb, Kansas. The brutal crime shocked the nation and drew significant media attention.
Hickock and Smith were apprehended shortly after the murders and later executed in 1965. Their case was notably covered in Truman Capote's book, In Cold Blood, which explored the psychological aspects of the crime and the lives of both the victims and the perpetrators.
