Clementia of Austria
Clementia of Austria was a noblewoman born in 1293, known for her role as the Queen consort of Hungary. She was the daughter of Albert I of Austria and Elisabeth of Tirol. Clementia married King Charles I of Hungary in 1301, strengthening ties between the Austrian and Hungarian royal families.
As queen, Clementia played a significant role in the political landscape of her time. She was the mother of several children, including Louis I of Anjou, who later became King of Hungary and Poland. Clementia's marriage and offspring helped solidify alliances in Central Europe during the 14th century.
