Louis I of Anjou
Louis I of Anjou was a French nobleman born in 1339, known for his role as the Count of Anjou and Maine. He was a member of the House of Anjou, a cadet branch of the Capetian dynasty. Louis was also a claimant to the throne of Naples, which led to his involvement in various military and political conflicts during the 14th century.
In 1384, Louis married Marie of Blois, which strengthened his political alliances. He was a significant figure in the Hundred Years' War, supporting the French cause against the English. Louis I died in 1384, leaving a legacy of ambition and territorial claims in Italy.
