Citrus and Pome
Citrus fruits are a group of fruits that belong to the genus Citrus. They are known for their juicy segments and tangy flavors. Common examples include oranges, lemons, limes, and grapefruits. Citrus fruits are rich in vitamin C and are often used in cooking, beverages, and desserts.
Pome fruits, on the other hand, are characterized by their core containing seeds surrounded by a fleshy outer layer. The most well-known pome fruits are apples and pears. These fruits typically have a sweet or tart flavor and are commonly eaten fresh or used in baking and cooking.
