Cimmerians
The Cimmerians were an ancient nomadic people who lived around the 8th century BCE. They are believed to have originated from the region north of the Black Sea and were known for their horse-riding skills and warrior culture. The Cimmerians are often associated with the Scythians, another group of nomadic tribes that inhabited the same areas.
Historically, the Cimmerians are mentioned in various ancient texts, including those by the Greek historian Herodotus. They are thought to have migrated into Anatolia and even invaded parts of the Middle East, impacting the regions they encountered. Their eventual decline is linked to the rise of the Scythians and other neighboring tribes.
