Chukchi language
The Chukchi language is a native language spoken by the Chukchi people in the northeastern part of Siberia, Russia. It belongs to the Chukotko-Kamchatkan language family and has two main dialects: Coastal Chukchi and Mountain Chukchi. The language is primarily oral, with a limited number of written resources.
Chukchi is known for its complex grammar and rich vocabulary, particularly in areas related to nature and the environment. Efforts are being made to preserve and revitalize the language, as it faces challenges from Russian, which is more widely spoken in the region.
