Chukchi Language
The Chukchi language is a member of the Chukotko-Kamchatkan language family, primarily spoken by the Chukchi people in the northeastern region of Siberia, Russia. It has two main dialects: Coastal Chukchi and Mountain Chukchi. The language is known for its complex grammar and rich vocabulary, particularly in areas related to nature and the environment.
Chukchi is an endangered language, with a declining number of speakers due to the influence of Russian and modernization. Efforts are being made to revitalize the language through education and cultural programs, aiming to preserve the unique heritage of the Chukchi community.
