China-Pakistan Relations
China-Pakistan relations are characterized by strong political, economic, and military ties. Both countries have collaborated closely since the 1950s, with China providing significant support to Pakistan in various sectors, including infrastructure development and defense. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), part of China's Belt and Road Initiative, is a key project aimed at enhancing connectivity and trade between the two nations.
The partnership is also strategic, as both countries share concerns about regional security, particularly regarding India. China has been a consistent ally for Pakistan in international forums, while Pakistan serves as a counterbalance to India's influence in South Asia. This relationship is often described as an "all-weather friendship."
