Chhath
Chhath is a popular Hindu festival celebrated primarily in the Indian states of Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh, as well as in parts of Nepal. It is dedicated to the worship of the sun god, Surya, and his wife, Usha. The festival usually lasts for four days and involves rituals such as fasting, bathing in rivers, and offering prayers at sunrise and sunset.
During Chhath, devotees prepare special offerings, including Thekua (a sweet made from wheat flour) and fruits. The festival emphasizes purity, devotion, and gratitude towards nature. It is a time for families to come together and celebrate the blessings of health and prosperity.
