Charles of Bourbon
Charles of Bourbon, also known as Charles III of Spain, was born on January 20, 1716. He was a member of the House of Bourbon and served as the King of Spain from 1759 until his death in 1788. His reign is noted for significant reforms in administration, economy, and military, which aimed to modernize Spain and strengthen its global position.
Before becoming King of Spain, Charles ruled as the Duke of Parma and Piacenza. He was instrumental in the Bourbon Reforms, which sought to centralize power and improve colonial administration in the Spanish Empire. His leadership helped to enhance Spain's influence in Europe and the Americas.
