Char Dham Yatra
The Char Dham Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage in India that includes four revered shrines: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Located in the Himalayas, these sites are significant to Hindu devotees, who believe that visiting them can lead to spiritual liberation and blessings. The journey typically takes place during the summer months when the temples are open to pilgrims.
Each of the four shrines has its own unique significance and is dedicated to different deities. Yamunotri is dedicated to the river goddess Yamuna, Gangotri to the river goddess Ganga, Kedarnath to Lord Shiva, and Badrinath to Lord Vishnu. The Char Dham Yatra attracts thousands of pilgrims each year, making it an important cultural and spiritual event in India.
