Chang'e Program
The Chang'e Program is a series of lunar exploration missions developed by China. Named after the Chinese moon goddess, the program aims to study the Moon's surface, geology, and resources. It includes several missions, such as orbiters, landers, and rovers, with notable achievements like the successful landing of Chang'e 4 on the far side of the Moon in 2019.
The program began in 2004 and has since made significant advancements in lunar science. Chang'e 5, launched in 2020, successfully returned lunar samples to Earth, marking a major milestone in China's space exploration efforts. The program continues to enhance our understanding of the Moon and its potential for future exploration.
