Cecilia of England
Cecilia of England, also known as Cecilia of York, was a notable figure in the late 15th century. Born around 1460, she was the daughter of Edward IV, the King of England, and Elizabeth Woodville. Cecilia's lineage placed her in the midst of the turbulent Wars of the Roses, a series of civil wars for control of the English throne.
Cecilia's life was marked by her family's royal connections, but she did not ascend to a prominent political role. She married Richard de la Pole, a member of the Yorkist faction, further intertwining her family's legacy with the ongoing struggles for power in England.
