Catherine Beecher
Catherine Beecher (1800-1878) was an American educator and author known for her advocacy of women's education. She believed that women should be educated to fulfill their roles as wives and mothers, emphasizing the importance of teaching domestic science and moral values. Beecher founded the Hartford Female Seminary and wrote several influential books, including "A Treatise on Domestic Economy."
