Catalan government
The Catalan government, officially known as the Government of Catalonia, is the executive branch responsible for governing the autonomous community of Catalonia in northeastern Spain. It operates under the Statute of Autonomy of Catalonia, which grants it a degree of self-governance, including powers over areas like education, health, and transportation.
The government is led by the President of the Government of Catalonia, who is elected by the Catalan Parliament. The government consists of various departments, each headed by a councillor, focusing on specific policy areas. Its main goal is to manage regional affairs and represent the interests of the Catalan people.
