Carmen Conde
Carmen Conde was a Spanish writer, feminist, and educator born on December 15, 1907, in Cartagena. She was one of the first women to graduate in Architecture in Spain and became a prominent figure in the Spanish literary scene. Conde was known for her novels, essays, and poetry, often addressing themes of gender equality and social justice.
In addition to her literary work, Conde was a co-founder of the Spanish Women's Association and actively participated in the Republican movement during the Spanish Civil War. After the war, she lived in exile and continued to advocate for women's rights and education until her death on September 8, 1996.
