Call Transfer
Call Transfer is a telecommunication feature that allows a person on a phone call to redirect the call to another phone number or extension. This is commonly used in customer service settings, where a representative may need to pass a caller to a specialist or a different department for further assistance.
There are typically two types of call transfers: blind transfer and attended transfer. In a blind transfer, the original caller is sent directly to the new recipient without any prior communication. In an attended transfer, the original caller is placed on hold while the first person speaks to the second person before connecting the call.
