Calico Jack
Calico Jack, whose real name was John Rackham, was an English pirate active in the Caribbean during the early 18th century. He is best known for his distinctive clothing, which included a colorful calico jacket, and for his flag featuring two skulls and crossed swords. Calico Jack was a member of the Golden Age of Piracy and is often remembered for his adventurous exploits and charismatic personality.
He is also famous for his association with two female pirates, Anne Bonny and Mary Read, who sailed with him. Calico Jack's piracy came to an end in 1720 when he was captured by the British Navy. He was tried and executed, leaving behind a legacy that continues to capture the imagination of pirate enthusiasts today.
