Anne Bonny
Anne Bonny was a notorious female pirate who operated in the Caribbean during the early 18th century. Born around 1700 in Ireland, she later moved to the American colonies. Known for her fierce temperament and adventurous spirit, she became a member of the pirate crew led by Calico Jack Rackham.
Bonny gained fame for her exploits alongside fellow pirate Mary Read. The two women defied the norms of their time, engaging in piracy and fighting alongside men. In 1720, Bonny and Rackham were captured, and she was eventually sentenced to hang, but her fate remains uncertain.
