Broad Peak
Broad Peak is the 12th highest mountain in the world, standing at 8,051 meters (26,414 feet) above sea level. It is located in the Karakoram range of the Himalayas, straddling the border between Pakistan and China. The mountain is known for its challenging climbing conditions and is often considered one of the more difficult peaks to summit due to its technical routes and unpredictable weather.
The name "Broad Peak" comes from its wide summit, which is a distinctive feature compared to other high mountains. It was first successfully climbed in 1957 by an expedition led by Hermann Buhl and Kurt Diemberger. The mountain attracts climbers from around the world, contributing to its reputation as a significant destination in the climbing community.
