Brisker Hasidim
Brisker Hasidim are followers of the Brisk dynasty, a branch of Hasidic Judaism that originated in the town of Brest-Litovsk in present-day Belarus. They are known for their emphasis on rigorous study of Talmud and Jewish law, often focusing on analytical and intellectual approaches to religious texts.
The movement was founded by Rabbi Abraham Isaac Kook, also known as the Brisker Rav, in the late 19th century. Brisker Hasidim maintain a distinct lifestyle, characterized by traditional dress and a strong commitment to community values, while also engaging in modern scholarship and education.
