Bridges' Transition Model
Bridges' Transition Model is a psychological framework that explains how individuals navigate change. Developed by William Bridges, the model emphasizes the emotional and psychological aspects of transitions rather than just the external changes. It consists of three stages: Ending, Neutral Zone, and New Beginning. Each stage represents a different phase in the process of adapting to change.
In the Ending stage, individuals let go of the old ways and face the loss associated with change. The Neutral Zone is a period of uncertainty and confusion, where people may feel disoriented. Finally, the New Beginning marks the acceptance of change and the adoption of new behaviors and attitudes.
