Boston butt
Boston butt is a cut of pork that comes from the upper part of the shoulder. Despite its name, it does not come from the rear of the pig. This cut is known for its rich flavor and tenderness, making it ideal for slow cooking methods like smoking or braising.
Often used in barbecue, Boston butt is popular for making pulled pork. When cooked low and slow, the connective tissues break down, resulting in juicy, flavorful meat that can be easily shredded. It is a favorite in many regional cuisines, especially in the southern United States.
