Blue-Yellow Color Blindness
Blue-yellow color blindness, also known as tritanopia, is a type of color vision deficiency that affects the ability to distinguish between blue and yellow hues. Individuals with this condition may confuse blue with green and yellow with violet, leading to challenges in identifying certain colors in everyday life.
This condition is less common than red-green color blindness and is caused by a defect in the photoreceptor cells in the retina. It is usually inherited, but can also result from eye diseases or damage. People with blue-yellow color blindness may not realize they have it until they encounter difficulties in color recognition.
