Blemmyes
The Blemmyes were a legendary group of people described in ancient texts, particularly by Herodotus and later Pliny the Elder. They were said to inhabit regions of Nubia and Ethiopia, characterized by their unusual physical appearance, notably having no heads. Instead, their facial features were believed to be located on their chests.
These mythical beings were often depicted as fierce warriors and were part of various ancient myths and stories. The Blemmyes were sometimes associated with other fantastical creatures, contributing to the rich tapestry of ancient lore surrounding the peoples of Africa and the Mediterranean.
